My Story: Building a Relationship with Orient Industry and Securing Image Permissions

On January 21, 2026, this site, "The Art of Orient – Premium Japanese Doll Guide," marked its official launch. However, before this project could take shape, there was a formidable "wall" I had to overcome and a profoundly important "dialogue" that defined my purpose.

That challenge was formally requesting permission from Orient Industry, a manufacturer with a distinguished 50-year history, to use their images and YouTube videos.

On Orient Industry's official website, a strict policy is clearly stated:

Respecting this boundary, I prepared a few draft articles and sent an inquiry email, meticulously explaining the intent and vision behind this guide.

When I made contact, a representative from the official team posed a deeply insightful and fundamental question:

In those words, I felt the profound love, responsibility, and protective spirit that the team has nurtured for their creations over half a century. Although I had initially envisioned this as an English-only site for a global audience, I conveyed my three core thoughts with absolute sincerity:

• Legacy Preservation: To serve as a faithful bridge, carrying the 50-year history of Orient Industry to the next generation and to fans worldwide.

Though our conversation was brief, it was incredibly meaningful. When I explained my desire to express the unique "Japanese beauty" (日本特有の美) embodied in these dolls, they were genuinely delighted, calling it a "wonderful concept."
